TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE COMPETITION

WIN YOUR SHARE OF R2 000 000

(APPLICABLE TO BOTH STORE & WEBSITE ENTRIES)

By participating in this competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which will govern the competition. Additionally, you confirm that there are no legal restrictions preventing you from entering the competition. If the competition involves submitting photographs, artwork, images of people, or anything else that requires consent or copyright, you confirm that you have the necessary permissions. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification.

 

By entering this competition, you consent to Judy’s Pride Fashion Pty Ltd trading as Fashion World (the Promoter ) using the names and images of winners for publicity purposes without any additional remuneration. Furthermore, entrants agree that Judy’s Pride T/A Fashion World may collect, store, and use personal information (but not share it) for communication, statistical purposes, or for purposes related to this competition. Judy’s Pride T/A Fashion World adheres to the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), and no information will be disclosed to third parties unless required by law. Entrants may decline marketing communications and must inform Judy’s Pride Fashion Pty Ltd trading as Fashion World in writing if they wish to opt out of future communications.

 

1. Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Judy’s Pride Fashion Pty Ltd T/A Fashion World Pty Ltd.

 

2. Eligibility

The competition is only open to South African citizens or permanent residents aged 18 years and older, with a valid South African ID, residence/work permit, and a South African bank account. Employees of Judy’s Pride T/A Fashion World, their advertising agencies, sales agents, and immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

 

3. Proof of Purchase

Participants must retain and provide competition receipts and/or retailer slips as proof of purchase for participating products. These must be presented to Judy’s Pride T/A Fashion World staff before being confirmed as a finalist or winner. Failure to provide proof may result in disqualification.

 

4. Competition Dates

The competition runs from 21 October 2024 to 21 December 2024.

 

5. Notification of Winners

Weekly winners will be announced and notified every Saturday during the competition period. The two grand prize winners will be announced on 15 January 2025 and notified shortly thereafter.

 

6. Prize Details

The prize is non-negotiable. Should an entrant win a weekly prize, they remain eligible for future draws and may win again.

 

7. Additional Terms

The prize may be subject to further terms and conditions in line with South African legislation.

 

8. Contacting Winners

Winners will be contacted via telephone, SMS, or WhatsApp. Judy’s Pride T/A Fashion World will attempt to contact the winners for three consecutive calendar days. If the winner cannot be reached or does not respond within this period, or declines the prize, an alternative winner will be selected.

 

9. Final Decision

All decisions made by Judy’s Pride T/A Fashion World are final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome nor may an entrant appeal or institute any action to have it amended.

 

10. Refunds and Exchanges

Once a prize is claimed, no refund for the original purchase that led to winning the prize will be allowed. However, exchanges may be permitted within the store’s guidelines, at the discretion of the store manager.

 

11. Affiliation

This competition is in no way affiliated with or endorsed by any entity other than Judy’s Pride T/A Fashion World.

 

12. Responsibility for Information

It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that all and any information provided to Judy’s Pride T/A Fashion World is accurate and up to date.

 

13. Lay-by Purchases

Lay-by purchases do not qualify for entry into the competition.

 

14. Refund Threshold

Refunds on purchases under R250 will result in the disqualification of the entrant.

 

15. Validity of Competition

The competition is valid for all Fashion World stores within South Africa.

 

16. Prizes

There will be 1800 winners of R1000 each, totalling R1 800 000. Two grand prize-winners will receive R100 000 each, bringing the total prize value to R2 000 000.

 

17. Excluded Purchases

Cell phone and airtime purchases do not qualify for entry into the competition.

 

18. Liability

Judy’s Pride T/A Fashion World is not responsible for any technical failures or any issues that result in an entry not being successfully submitted.

 

19. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act and any applicable laws, entrants and winners indemnify and hold harmless the promoter, its organizers, affiliates, employees, agents, and suppliers from any liability, loss, injury, or damage resulting from participation in the competition or use/acceptance of the prize.

 

20. Disqualification

Entrants who act unlawfully, fraudulently, or in breach of these terms and conditions shall  be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to perform due diligence to verify eligibility.

By entering this competition, you will be added to the Fashion World Online mailing list to receive information on new products, services or promotions. You may unsubscribe at any time.

 

22. Non-Transferability

Prizes are not transferable.
